There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest;
Theirs is the curse of gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.
A race that can't stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest;
Theirs is the curse of gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.

"Not all who wander are lost"....but many who do are hopelessly so. It's true, I've had more zip codes than I can count on both hands. But I like to think that it is new experiences and opportunities I seek rather than some other reason I can't stay still. My landlubber days have drawn to an end. And though not exactly beach front, my latest address has the sweet smell of the ocean and puts me in easy striking distance of this...
yet, on any given day it is more likely to look like this...

Ah congrats. Perhaps a bike ride to the pier? Was hoping you’d return to Stumptown and I’d get another shot at shaping w/ ya, but guessing Right Coast SE from the looks of those snaps and the flat comment. OBX? Wrightsville? Wilmington? Foley? Jacksonville? Daytona? Jupiter? Saint Augy? Melbourne Further south..... Just please don’t say Gulf Coast : )- Might miss those mountains down there…..?
A feeling of envy has rolled over me, however, in a sense, drive as well. Closer to the sea, closer indeed.
Lived my entire adult life west of the continental divide, that's over half of my 40 yrs on this planet. I will surely miss it, but it is deeply embedded within, so in a way, it's coming with. We still plan to get back to the PNW but when certain doors are opened you have to walk through. In the mean time, learning to kiteboard and getting waves when they're around in the nation's oldest city.
A feeling of stickyness has rolled over me e. but at least I'll have a perma-tan to show for it.
Ah yes lived in now “big city” to the north, just south of the border. I’ll never forget the hic’s surfing in their cut off jeans, which I think is actually hip these days? But that’s my favorite town in that state and I have surfed some fun waves in that zone. You’ll definitely add fishin to those activities as well. Good luck and stay cool bratha. BTW one of my BF's from HS lives there so if ya ever meet a Mo.Co. guy........
